My previous post highlighted a review that was not very positive for 2084, but it did allow us to analyze some of the constitutional and legal principles I put forward in the book. To follow up on this post, I think it is only fair that I share with you a sampling of the reviews that reflect overwhelmingly the response from readers about 2084. One of the coolest things is that because of the way we published the book, I am now selling books in countries around the world not just in the US. But, of course, most of the folks reading the book are in the US.

[Just to Remind readers: the first major prediction from 2084 has come true – a year before the election when no one thought Trump would win, I predicted it boldly and much of the future predictions I lay out in 2084 rely heavily on this first major prediction. I could have sidestepped this and tackled a dystopian world like everyone else based on global warming, but I felt confident about this and many other bold predictions. I challenge you to see which of the predictions in this book will come true and which will not.]

Verified PurchaseI picked this book because I was curious about understanding the mindset of Trump supporters. The author paints a vivid picture of a future where freedom and governance intertwine in thought-provoking ways. The term “Bill of Freedoms” struck a chord, pushing me to reflect on the evolving definitions of liberty and individual rights.
Reading this book challenged my perspective and reminded me of the importance of engaging with ideas that differ from my own. A Daring Rebellion Against Utopia
“This novel is a whirlwind of ambition, self-discovery, and resistance, bringing together an eclectic ensemble of characters whose lives intertwine in unexpected ways. From a narcissistic narrator who proclaims himself as a divine gift to America to a pharmacologist pining for an unfulfilled teenage romance, the story is rich with depth and personality.

The novel’s structure is masterful, presenting an array of perspectives that seamlessly converge into a shared mission. The transformation of a cold MS agent into a rebel hero alongside two lost girls is especially poignant, adding emotional gravity to the narrative. Meanwhile, a Senator’s connection to his revolutionary ancestor injects a sense of historical gravitas, highlighting themes of legacy and the enduring fight for freedom.

One of the most intriguing characters is a descendant of a revered President, a figure whose charisma and ideals rally others, particularly Harper, creating a magnetic subplot. Each character feels vibrant and multidimensional, their motives and personal journeys intricately woven into the larger tapestry.

The plot crescendos as these colorful individuals confront a dystopian Utopia, one so oppressive it might make Orwell blush. Their rebellion is both thrilling and thought-provoking, challenging the reader to reflect on the fragility of freedom and the cost of complacency.

Though at times the narrative might feel overstuffed with its array of characters and subplots, the overarching theme of resisting conformity and reclaiming agency ties it all together. This book is a bold, layered exploration of identity, history, and the eternal struggle against authoritarian control—a story as relevant as it is riveting.

For fans of intricate narratives and dystopian fiction, this is an absolute must-read.”

Verified Purchase “It’s like stepping into a mash-up of a dystopian future and a political thriller, but with so many layers that it feels way too close to reality at times. The characters are what really hooked me, especially Liesa. She’s such a relatable mix of strong and vulnerable, and her journey of trying to make sense of the chaos around her felt so real.

The story is packed with twists, political intrigue, and a kind of dark humor that makes it stand out from other dystopian tales. And honestly, if you’re into speculative fiction that feels eerily plausible (think Orwellian vibes but with even more edge), this is totally your jam. It’s got rebellion, shady government tactics, and characters you actually care about. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a good “what if” story with plenty of action and heart.”
